What we provided

Explainer video for Proman’s Power32 power solution

Overview

We were brought on to animate an explainer video for Power32 – a company offering flexible, methanol-fuelled power solutions for remote and off-grid environments. Using a voiceover-led script and storyboard created by Cavendish Consulting, we developed a stylised video that blends textured visuals with smooth transitions, resulting in a paper-like stop-motion feel.

Goals

The video’s primary objective was to clearly communicate Power32’s value proposition:

“Fuelled by methanol, Power32’s solutions deliver immediately available, cost-effective, flexible baseload power – where and when you need it.”

To achieve this, the animation needed to be informative while remaining visually engaging and easy to follow.

Creative Approach

Working within Power32’s branding – which features a rich and flexible colour palette – we created a stop-motion-inspired aesthetic using textured paper effects, subtle shadows, and layered transitions. The animation was timed precisely to a voiceover, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout.

Outcome

The final animation successfully communicated the core benefits of Power32’s methanol-based power solutions. The client was very happy with the result, and the unique visual style helped differentiate the video from standard corporate explainers.

Challenges

The key challenge was maintaining viewer engagement while explaining a relatively technical offering. We addressed this by:

  • Turning still graphic design assets into dynamic scenes

  • Using creative transitions to simulate camera movement and paper cut-out animation

  • Introducing visual metaphors to simplify complex energy concepts
